For more than three years at Adastra, I have been combining Big Data Engineering with recruitment, mentoring, and the role of People Lead. This allows me not only to go deep into technical areas, but also to grow in leadership and people development.
I work in both on-premises and cloud environments for clients, on platforms such as Cloudera and Databricks. On a daily basis, I use SQL, Spark, Python, and Bash.
I conduct interviews, provide mentoring, and take responsibility for the development of team members. This kind of role flexibility truly motivates me and keeps me moving forward.
Before joining Adastra, I typically looked for my next professional step after about four years with each employer. At Adastra, however, I have been for more than 14 years—and I still enjoy opening up new opportunities in the telecommunications space and leading a team that is eager to change the world of technology and help customers become more successful and efficient through digitalization.
I have spent over 30 years in business, gaining experience not only at Adastra but also at other technology companies. What motivates me? Above all, working with top-class professionals and the strong sporting spirit that truly lives at Adastra. I often draw inspiration and energy from my colleagues—both in the office and during our shared sporting challenges in tennis, cycling, or skiing.
For me, Adastra is no longer just a job. It is an environment where innovation, a modern workplace, strong teamwork, and a healthy drive to win come together perfectly.
Joining Adastra was one of the best decisions of my career. I’ve stepped into the role of Competency Lead, where I take care of 15 front-end developers. Our main technologies are React, React Native, and Angular – and I really enjoy seeing the team grow both technically and personally.
